About This Spot

Stepping up to Boilicious Vietnamese Takeout feels like discovering a beloved secret tucked into the hustle of Midtown Manhattan. It’s a window-only, no-frills spot where the rhythm is set by the steady stream of neighborhood regulars and busy office workers swinging by for something genuinely comforting. The space itself is modest—a true hole-in-the-wall—but what it lacks in size, it more than makes up for in warmth and sincerity.

The pace is brisk yet inviting, a small sanctuary for those seeking a quick escape through deeply satisfying flavors. Here, the focus is all about the food arriving fresh, bursting with authenticity, and thoughtfully prepared with care. Whether it’s the rich embrace of a fragrant coconut curry soup or the perfectly seasoned BBQ pork nestled inside a crisp baguette, each bite is a reminder of homey, unpretentious Vietnamese cooking that never feels rushed or overlooked.

What sets Boilicious apart is its ability to make you feel seen despite the simplicity of a grab-and-go setting. The staff, juggling orders with a calm efficiency, exude genuine kindness, making the experience more than just a meal—it’s a quick yet meaningful human exchange. The thoughtful preparation shows in the layered flavors of noodle soups that manage to be light but nourishing, or the fresh shrimp rolls that bring brightness and balance to a busy day.

It’s the kind of place where a quick lunch transforms into a small, quiet moment of comfort—a welcome pit stop that soothes and fuels without fuss. For those working nearby or simply passing through, Boilicious offers a taste of tradition wrapped in genuine care, inviting you back to explore the menu’s many cozy nuances time and again.

This is a small hole-in-the-wall mom and pop shop that offers tasty food. They offer pick-up service only. Ordered the banhi mi BBQ pork and it has excellent flavor and the bread was good as well. Thought it wasn’t going to be enough to keep me full, but was surprised I was not hungry at the end of the day. Great value for a good sandwich at less than $11 in midtown. Tip would be to get there before noon or order by phone because there will be a long line.

it was so delicious, i didn't expect it to be so delicious because there are so few reviews but it was amazing. Perfect soup when you have a hangover

The beef pho was excellent, and they nailed my request to make it spicy. It’s a true hole-in-the-wall gem - just note that it’s a window-only spot with no indoor seating. I’ll definitely be back.

Grilled pork pho was the best I’ve ever had, the broth and the meat packed so much flavor! The ingredients were all fresh and the pork was perfectly tender with just the right amount of char. 10/10 will be trying everything on the menu.

I loveee this place. It’s my go-to lunch during work. I order online 30 min before hand and then pick it up. Everything is delicious. I usually get the tofu pho or coconut curry noodles. It’s comforting, filling, nutritious, and delicious. Plus, the people who work there are kind and helpful despite the fact that they are packed.

The traditional banh mi was fine. It wasn't spectacular or worth going out of the way for. It was a good enough work lunch.

The takeout spot is a hidden gem. I recommend ordering ahead of time before you go there because there is limited standing room inside and no seating. I had to wait 15 minutes since I didn’t order in advance. I got the Chicken Coconut Curry Soup. It was a really good size for a pretty affordable meal. If you are a messy person, I recommend being careful because they serve the soup broth separately from the meat and vegetables.

Ordered a Pho Saigon. Rare or Cooked Sliced Flank Steak, Beef Shin & Beef Balls. The service was very good , in this small take out place.
